How times have changed. Now it is time to get on with Mai-Star II restoration.
A lot has happened since I last wrote a bit on this blog. Much of the summer was spent getting our other project boat ready to move South to be near my own yard and workshop. This as taken longer than I first thought it would, however, the boat is now nearby and the long hours of driving up the motorways of the UK have come to an end. We are nor sad to see the back of the long hours driving, however, we are sad to not see the friends we made in the North West who helped us out while we were up there working on our other project boat Chance.
So now we have more time to spend on the boats, now we are not travelling up to the North West of England we are spends it on working on both our project boats and make better progress on both of them over the coming months.
Now we have time we should be able to repair the metal framework which goes over Mai-Star II and get a new cover to go over her and so I can work on her in the evening after work or between jobs on my Clients boats.
That's the plan now to get to work and make it happen.
